Treat Black Lips Naturally

One home remedy that you can try out first in order to get rid of black lips is by using lemon, or more specifically that of its juice. Lemon juice has a bleaching property which can return that luscious pinkish glow of your lips, and not to mention it will bring back lost elasticity on your lips as well. To go about this method, apply freshly squeezed lemon juice on the affected area prior to going to sleep. Rinse it off with clean water in the morning. It might take a while as it will take approximately 1-month before any results will be visible, but perseverance and vigilance is key here. Also do take note that applying lemon juice on chapped and/or dry lips can cause some irritation and pain.

Another home remedy for black lips is sugar. Yes, that ingredient that you use when baking cookies and cake can also be used for your lips. It works as a natural scrub, and for you to make use of this, mix 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar with 2 tablespoons of butter. And then, gently exfoliate your lips with it. Use this remedy only once a week.

Aside from sugar and lemon juice, honey is already a great remedy in treating black lips. You might see honey as a main ingredient in many products that target the lips. This is because it has many beautifying ingredients that can moisten your lips and even make them lighter. Only use pure honey for this purpose, and apply it on your lips prior to going to sleep. Once you wake up, rinse it off with warm water. Alternatively, you can also mix  1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of almond oil three times a day. Rub this mixture on your lips and let it stay there for half-an-hour before rinsing it off with clean water.
